Cleared customs and on the way home

Just landed in Atlanta after 25 hours traveling from India. Great mission trip and a special thanks to all who prayed us through the trip. We are on the highway headed to Dothan. Can't wait to see everyone in church this Sunday.

Arrived in Amsterdam

We all were able to get 5 to 6 hours of sleep on the first leg of the trip which was an 8 hour flight. We have an 8 hour layover until our flight to Atlanta. All looking forward to getting home!

And the purse saga continues... They didn't put a tag on my purse so I got sent back to security and terry and pastor boarded without me in Delhi. But I made it. Kim

At Delhi Airport

We have checked in for our flight cleared security and now waiting at the gate for our flight to Amsterdam and then connect on to Atlanta. This was a really good trip connecting with the Dehradun Vineyard. Their church is so much like our church that we all said if we were blindfolded and didn't hear the different language it would be Dothan Vineyard. The ministry of the Word was well received and our team did a lot of one on one ministry. Thank you all for the faithful intercession. Believe me it made a difference. We depart healthy but very tired. However knowing we represented you our church family makes it all worth while. Love to all. More later.

Some Impressions

I am on the break at the Saturday Leadership Seminar. It has really been a refreshing time to work with Sunny Gilbert and his Vineyard Church in Dehra Dun.  In all the years I have travelled, there has never been a church or mission that dedicated a night to getting to know us by asking us to tell our story.  I was so moved by the service last night.  It was dedicated entirely to hearing about us.  They asked me to tell them the story of Dothan Vineyard.  Terry and Kim helped me share the story of Dothan Vineyard.  I saw tears in Terry's eves as he shared. The people here were genuinely interested in us - I suppose it threw me for a loop.  I am not saying this to cast a negative light on any other group or church -- this is just a commendable quality that this church and its leader has. They don't see things from the "its all about us" perspective.  They were genuinely interested in our work and church as well as theirs.  This is truly a partnership in that sense of the word.  Again, one impression that stood out . . .

I want to say thank you to everyone who is praying faithful for us during this trip.  The leadership seminar now in progress is going very, very well.  It's an honor to be able to invest in this group of leaders in God's Kingdom.

A Note From Kim Knight

Wow!  What can I say, my time in India has been a humbling experience to say the least.

Number one, they don't hate Americans!  Fancy that!  The people are friendly, welcoming and polite, and for a country of 1.2 billion that's amazing!  Man, New Yorkers could take a tip from them.

It is wildly fast paced and the drivers are the most considerate I've ever seen, (NASCAR is for sissies!).  They drive in both lanes, pass on either side and miss each other by mere millimeters.  You get used to it after a while.  They are professionals!  Oh, and did I mention, the food is fantastic!

Mostly, though, I can tell you the people I have met are passionate for Jesus!  Despite having experienced persecution and fear they continue to, "fight the good fight" and refuse to give up!  To say I admire them tremendously is quite an understatement.

I can't wait to share pictures and stories of our experience!

Ciao!  Oh, sorry that's French!

Kim says its safer to be a cow on the street. Its common to see cows owning the streets, busy or otherwise.

First leg of trip

Our first leg from Atlanta to Paris is complete, 8.5 hour flight. Waiting at gate. Just realized this is first time I have done an all nighter with Terry and Kim.

First blessing of trip- Kim left her purse behind at security when she was distracted by the search of her bag. Got to gate then she realized "no purse oh no!" Run Kim run we all said ... Good news it was still at the gate. Phew! Keep covering us in prayer. We need it. Now we wait for flight to Delhi.

We send our love to all. More later.
